{"id":11949,"date":"2021-11-11T12:55:00","date_gmt":"2021-11-11T18:55:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/guatecana.com\/salubristas-de-la-costa-sur-son-capacitados-gracias-al-programa-mi-salud-primero-de-fundazucar\/"},"modified":"2025-03-11T16:17:08","modified_gmt":"2025-03-11T22:17:08","slug":"health-professionals-are-trained-with-the-health-comes-first-program-of-fundazucar","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.guatecana.com\/en\/health-professionals-are-trained-with-the-health-comes-first-program-of-fundazucar\/","title":{"rendered":"Health professionals are trained with the \u201cHealth Comes First\u201d program of Fundazucar"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><\/h2>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image is-resized\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"766\" src=\"https:\/\/guatecana.com.gt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/salubristas-de-la-costa-sur-son-capacitados-gracias-al-programa-mi-salud-primero-de-fundazucar-1-min-1024x766.avif\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-9886\" title=\"Salubristas de la Costa Sur son capacitados gracias al programa \u201cMi Salud Primero\u201d de Fundaz\u00facar\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.guatecana.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/salubristas-de-la-costa-sur-son-capacitados-gracias-al-programa-mi-salud-primero-de-fundazucar-1-min-1024x766.avif 1024w, https:\/\/www.guatecana.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/salubristas-de-la-costa-sur-son-capacitados-gracias-al-programa-mi-salud-primero-de-fundazucar-1-min-300x224.avif 300w, https:\/\/www.guatecana.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/salubristas-de-la-costa-sur-son-capacitados-gracias-al-programa-mi-salud-primero-de-fundazucar-1-min-768x575.avif 768w, https:\/\/www.guatecana.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/salubristas-de-la-costa-sur-son-capacitados-gracias-al-programa-mi-salud-primero-de-fundazucar-1-min-jpeg.avif 1160w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p><strong>More than 437 health professionals from 65 health posts and health centers on the South of Guatemala are trained with the \u201cHealth Comes First\u201d program of the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/fundazucar.org\/about-us?lang=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Sugar Foundation&nbsp;-Fundazucar-<\/a><\/strong>&nbsp;in alliance with the Ministry of Health and Social Assistance with the aim of promoting health preventive in the communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since 2016 Fundazucar, in alliance with the Ministry of Health, has promoted the innovative&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/fundazucar.org\/programas\/programa-mi-salud-primero?lang=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">program \u201cHealth Comes First\u201d<\/a>, which trains public health workers to develop technical skills and an attitude of service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, joint&nbsp;<strong>prevention actions are carried out against COVID-19 and vector-borne diseases such as dengue, Zika and \/ or chinkunguya<\/strong>&nbsp;through the education and training of human resources in the health sector and in the communities of the South of Guatemala.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Some of the actions that have been carried out as part of the \u201cHealth Comes First\u201d program are:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Delivery of the Protocol \u201cPlan for the prevention, containment and response to cases of COVID-19\u201d from the Ministry of Health to\u00a0<strong>65 health services of the South of Guatemala<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>T<strong>rainings for 500 health professionals<\/strong>\u00a0distributed in 12 face-to-face and \/ or virtual training workshops on the COVID-19 protocol of the Ministry of Health and preventive health promotion, with an emphasis on the \u201c1,000-day window\u201d and diseases caused by vectors such as Zika, Dengue and Chinkunguya; with 93% attendance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Technical support to health professionals for the use and updating of epidemiological data analysis, with the aim of developing a culture of analysis of the information produced for making timely decisions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/sugarforgood.com\/2021\/09\/17\/the-guatemalan-sugar-industry-delivered-7336-personal-protection-equipment-for-health-workers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Nine deliveries of Personal Protective Equipment -EPP- to 917 health workers<\/strong><\/a><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>in the priority area of the South of Guatemala to protect health workers on the first line of attention to COVID-19.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/sugarforgood.com\/2021\/01\/18\/crusade-for-nutrition-in-guatemala-reached-more-than-9900-children-with-the-assistance-of-the-sugar-foundation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Participation of the Fundazucar team in 70 Nutritional Brigades<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0for the active search for children with Acute Malnutrition, in coordination with the Ministry of Health and the Secretary of Food and Nutritional Security in 10 municipalities of 4 departments of the South of Guatemala.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe Guatemalan Sugar Industry promotes the development and well-being of the communities through a responsible operation and the execution of social programs aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals -SDG-\u201c, affirmed Maria Silvia Pineda, Sustainability Manager of -Asazgua- and director of Fundazucar.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>More than 437 health professionals from 65 health posts and health centers on the South of Guatemala are trained with the \u201cHealth Comes First\u201d program of the&nbsp;Sugar Foundation&nbsp;-Fundazucar-&nbsp;in alliance with the Ministry of Health and Social Assistance with the aim of promoting health preventive in the communities.
