Guateca\u00f1a and the National Forest Institute (INAB) have signed a technical cooperation agreement to implement actions aimed at the management, conservation, and restoration of degraded forest areas, as well as the promotion of sustainable production in the country. This five-year alliance represents a significant step forward in driving reforestation efforts and restoring forest landscapes\u2014benefiting the environment, local communities, and future generations.<\/p>\n

As part of the agreement, Guateca\u00f1a will share its expertise to help strengthen policies and strategies for sustainable, verifiable, and long-term landscape conservation and restoration. It will also promote INAB\u2019s participation in key sustainable forest management initiatives and support the dissemination of forest incentive programs, best practices in sustainable landscape management, forest restoration, and forest management.<\/p>\n\n

INAB, in turn, commits to contributing its technical expertise in forestry matters, providing specialized assistance through the assignment of institutional technical staff to deliver and participate in trainings, workshops, and other activities. INAB will also support with equipment and technical personnel to carry out activities and foster strategic partnerships at national and international levels that contribute to achieving the goals of the agreement.<\/p>\n\n

\u201cAt Guateca\u00f1a, we are committed to sustainability and environmental stewardship. Since 2011, in partnership with the Private Institute for Climate Change Research -ICC-, we have led a reforestation program. This year, we reached the milestone of planting 9.4 million trees, covering 2,295 hectares of forest\u2014an area equivalent to 3,280 soccer fields,\u201d said Luis Miguel Paiz, General Manager of Guateca\u00f1a.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n
